Yinka Olabode

(Yeen-kah)

Meet Yinka:

Howdy, howdy! I’m Yinka Olabode, a passionate Nigerian-American portrait photographer and artist based in the vibrant cities of San Antonio and Dallas, Texas. My work is rooted in genuine connection—I believe the best portraits come from trust, comfort, and shared creativity. Together, we’ll craft images that are both beautiful and full of memories.

I started photography in 2017 with a high school photojournalism class, and that spark never left. Now, at 23, I’m still driven by a passion for capturing stories with patience, empathy, and detail. Each person I photograph inspires me with their unique personality, vulnerability, and strength.

Beyond the Lens:

When I’m not behind the camera, I work as a healthcare provider in the vision field and am soon to be an Occupational Therapist student—two roles that shape the care and intentionality I bring to photography. Outside of work and school, you’ll probably find me on a volleyball court, experimenting in the kitchen, thrifting hidden gems, or relaxing with my cat, Killua. My creativity also comes from a deep love of both visual and traditional arts, which keeps my perspective fresh and inspired. Also, I should mention that I’m a UTSA alumna?

At UTSA, I studied Medical Humanities, Biology, and Marketing. Class of 2024 😉

What to expect from me:

A session with me is all about fun and flow. You’ll receive guidance on posing, plenty of encouragement, and a hype partner who’ll keep the energy high. From choosing locations to setting the vibe, I make the process simple so you can focus on being yourself. Music, pets (public spaces), partners, friends, and family are all allowed at the shoots!

Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, building your brand, or chasing a creative vision, I’d love to capture it in a way that feels true to YOU.
